Dainty Delight Painter Tape Card & Video
Today I’m showing you how to use painters tape and ink pads to create a background that highlights the Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight stamp set and Spring. This is an easy technique and fun to do. I hope you’ll give it a try and then post your card to my Facebook page or send me a copy of it.

Let’s Get Started
- Use the 3” x 4” White Cardstock for your background. The technique is shown on the video. Tear off 3 pieces of 1” painter’s tape about 6” long. Place one piece of tape diagonally across the Balmy Blue Ink and rub it down with your finger to ink it well. Place this tape across your white cardstock and rub it down. Note – I chose to leave the tape on until all 3 where done but you don’t have to.
- Repeat the above step with the Parakeet Party Ink then the Highland Heather Ink. Remove the tape.
- Stamp the image in Early Espresso Ink over the background you just made. Set aside.
- Fold the Thick Basic White card base in half on the score line and burnish with Bone Folder.
- Emboss the Highland Heather Cardstock with the Basic Flower 3D Embossing Folder.
- Wrap a piece of Highland Heather Ribbon around the Highland Heather Cardstock, tie in knot on the left-hand side (in the video I show you how to use less ribbon). Adhere to card base.
- Add the flower and tape stamped background to card front using dimensionals. If you haven’t already tied your ribbon, do so now.
- Stamp your greeting from the Go To Greetings in Balmy Blue Ink on White Cardstock. Cut out with the next to smallest Stitched Rectangle die of the group of 4 dies. Add to card front with Dimensionals and Glue Dots.
- Add Pastel Pearls to card front.
- The card inside is finished by stamping the flower image used on the front to the lower left corner on the White Cardstock in Parakeet Party Ink. Adhere to Highland Heather Cardstock and then to card inside.
- Finish the Envelope by stamping the flower imagine in Highland Heather Ink in the lower left hand corner.
And now you have a beautiful Spring card to brighten someone’s day. Happy Stamping!

- Basic White Thick: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” (card base),
- Basic White: 3-1/4” x 1-1/4” (greeting), 3” x 4” (card front), 3-3/4” x 5” (inside)
- Highland Heather: (2) 4” x 5-1/4” (card front & inside)

- Embossing Folder: Basic 3D Embossing Folders flowers
- Ribbon: Crossgrain 1/2” Highland Heather Ribbon (retired)
- Adhesives: Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Liquid Glue, Tear N Tape, Stampin Seal
