Framed Florets Berry Christmas Card
Today I’m sharing a Christmas Card made from Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Collection. Thankfully, I felt well enough to go back into my studio a few days ago as I ended back in the hospital over the weekend and came home Monday evening. It has been a challenge for me getting healthy and I appreciate your understanding and patience for not hearing from me very often.
The Framed Florets Collection includes 2 stamp sets, Framed Floret Dies, Designer Series Paper and Gold Embellishments. This is an early release from the January to April Mini Catalog. The Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper is beautiful and is only available while Supplies Last. So don’t wait too long to buy this paper. For this card I colored the white berries with a Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend to make them look more Christmassy.
This is a fairly fast card to make. If making more than one, cut all paper for the number of cards you’re making and do all your stamping at once. It really is a very beautiful and elegant Christmas Card. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.
Let’s Get Started
Let’s start by cutting all your paper according to the sizes listed below under Card Recipe: Cardstock. Make sure you measure your Envelope Flap for the correct size of DSP before cutting. Not all envelopes are the same size, depending on where you get them from.
Color your Berries with a Real Red light Stampin’ Blend. Use a white gel pen (non Stampin’ Up!) to make a small curve highlight on each berry. Adhere this paper to the Real Red Cardstock. Using the Red Ribbon from the Red/Green Combo Pack, Tie the ribbon around the middle of card and tie a bow. Move bow to the left side of card. Position the ribbon where you want it to be.
Stamp the two small flowers in Black Memento Ink on to scraps of Basic White Cardstock. Color with the Real Red Stampin’ Blends. Cut out with the Coordinating Framed Florets Dies.
Cut out a large and a small leaf out of scrap of Soft Succulent Cardstock from the Framed Florets Dies.
Using Real Red Ink, stamp you greeting using the Framed & Festive Stamp Set onto White Cardstock. Cut it with the plain Oval Die from the Framed Florets Dies. Also cut your Gold Foil out with the same die. (The inner oval of the gold foil and the out frame of the white cardstock will not be used on this project). Insert your White Oval Greeting inside your Gold Foil Frame. Tape on the backside with scotch tape so the two pieces will stay together. Use Dimensionals to adhere the Framed piece to the Designer Series Paper/Red Cardstock over the Ribbon. I placed a number of Dimensionals on the seam to add more support than the scotch tape provides.
Fold your Evening Evergreen Card Base in half on the score line and burnish with Bone Folder.
Adhere your Red Cardstock/Designer Series Paper to Card Base using Dimensionals.
Add the large leaf to the left side of frame just under the ribbon with a glue dot and use another glue dot to adhere to Gold Frame. Use a Glue Dot to adhere the small Soft Succulent Leaf to bottom of greeting. Add the large flower you color with a Glue Dot and the small flower with a Mini Dimensional. Add your gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot embellishments to the center of each flower using your Take Your Pick Tool.
For the inside I stamped a Saying from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set in Real Red Ink onto White Cardstock. I stamped the large leaf from the Framed Florets Stamp Set in Soft Succulent Ink and the larger of the two single flowers 3 times in Real Red Ink. Adhere to inside of card using your favorite adhesive.
The Envelope was finished with a piece of same Designer Series Paper used on the card front. Color the berries with a Red Stampin’ Blend, glue to envelope flap and trim off and excess DSP.
And now you have a beautiful card to brighten someone’s day.
Happy Stamping!
