Today’s sneak peak is from Stampin’ Up! Wished all Around Stamp Bundle. This is my first wreath set I’ve owned for Christmas cards. My husband selected this stamp because of the different shapes of the wreaths. They are unique looking and offers lots of possibilities.
This card can be a lot simpler than I made it if you use just one ink color for all the trees and not two different shades. I had wanted a slight difference every other tree so I made more work for myself. And if I’m honest, I didn’t think of this till I was writing the directions. Next time I think I might try Balmy Blue and Night of Navy for more contrast.
The Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder is a great companion piece to use with this stamp set. I look forward to see what else I come up with. I enjoy hanging wreaths all year at my house. My autumn one went up about a week ago. My Christmas wreath for the front door is very traditional, how about yours?
Happy Stamping!
Card Directions
- To start, fold card base in half on score line, burnish with Bone Folder.
- Emboss the White Cardstock panel with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
- Wrap a 6-1/4” Balmy Blue Sparkle Ribbon around center of embossed panel, securing the ends to back of panel with tape (hint – I like to add a glue dot to the middle of ribbon to better hold it in place). Adhere panel to card base with Dimensionals.
- Take the wreath die that you use to cut out the stamped tree and die cut a piece of White Cardstock. Use the center portion of the paper that looks like a sunburst to stamp your saying on in Night of Navy Ink. Adhere to center of ribbon using Mini-Dimensionals making sure Dimensionals are not on the ribbon.
- Stamp 16 of the single tree stamp, eight each of Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight Ink, on White Cardstock. Cut out with coordinating dies. (Hint: the quick way is use just one color ink, stamp the tree wreath stamp and cut out with coordinating die. Use the center from this to do step 4.)
- Use a Mini-Dimensional near the bottom of each tree and adhere the trees into the spaces around the greeting.
- Cut the snowflake wreath die out of 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” piece of Beary Christmas DSP. Adhere to card front with about 3 Glue Dots or small drops of Liquid Glue.
- Silver Festive Pearls are the embalmments use in between each tree top.
- The inside was completed by stamping the snowflakes into diagonal corners with Balmy Blue Ink. The saying was stamped in Night of Navy Ink onto White Cardstock.
- Dress your Envelope by stamping some trees in the bottom left hand corner in Night of Navy Ink.
