Hand-Colored With Stampin’ Blends
Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along Christmas card is the feature card and video for you today. We explore coloring the truck and tree with Stampin’ Blends also known as Alcohol Inks in the video. Reds are probably the hardest color to work with and I show you how I do it.
For the background I go to my all time favorite winter/Christmas designer series paper, One Horse Open Sleigh. In case you haven’t guess, I’m having a love affair with this paper. Can a person own enough of it? I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making and sharing it with you. Happy Stamping!
Card Directions
- Stamp the truck outline in Memento Black Ink on White Cardstock and on the inside panel in the bottom right hand corner. Color both trucks as shown in video. Stampin’ Blends used are listed below under supples. Punch out the one truck for card front. Set aside the inside panel for now.
- Next, stamp the tree outline in Shaded Spruce Ink on White Cardstock. Color with the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out.
- Fold card base in half on the score line, burnish with Bone Folder.
- Layer the Real Red Cardstock panel to card front.
- From the Trucking Along stamp set, stamp the road/tire tracks in Early Espresso Ink on the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper panel. Then layer the to card front.
- Using Dimensionals, adhere truck to card front over the road/tire tracks. The tree was added next with one Mini Dimensional.
- The greeting was stamped in Real Red Ink on White Cardstock. Punch out with Double Oval Punch. Punch the scallop oval in Real Red Cardstock. Adhere the greeting to the Red scallop and pop up on front with Dimensionals.
- Adhesive Backed Snowflake Assortment were added to card front.
- Finish the inside panel by stamping the present outline in Azure Afternoon Ink on the truck bed. Next, stamp the second present stamp in Azure Afternoon Ink. Stamp the saying in Shaded Spruce Ink. Adhere this to the Real Red panel and then adhere to card inside.

- Basic White: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” (card base), 3-1/2” x 1/-3/4” (stamp truck), 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” (tree), 2-1/2” x 1-1/2” (greeting), 3-3/4” x 5” (inside panel)
- Real Red: (2) 4” x 5-1/4” (front and inside panels), 2-1/2” x 1-1/2” (scallop oval)
- One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4” x 5” (front panel)
