The Potions & Spells stamp bundle is fun to play around with. I love the colors on this card with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder. The black heat embossing on the black cardstock worked perfectly for what I hoped to achieve. Please try your hand at making this one. I even threw in a little easy coloring with Stampin’ Blends. Happy Stamping!
Card Directions
- Cut and score all cardstock and papers as listed under Cutting Directions below.
- Fold the Basic White Thick Card Base in half on the score line, and burnish it with a Bone Folder.
- Embossed the 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the front of the card base.
- Die-cut the drips from the center of the 4-1/4” x 3-1/4” Gorgeous Grape panel, set aside.
- Emboss the 4-1/16” x 3-1/16” Lemon Lime Twist panel and adhere it to the Gorgeous Grape panel you cut the drips out of. Then, adhere this panel to the card front, offsetting it to the left.
- Stamp the bubble image on basic white cardstock. Color the bubbles with the following Stampin’ Blends: Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather, and Pumpkin Pie. Fussy cut the image out with scissors.
- Stamp the cat and the kettle pot stamps onto Basic Black Cardstock with VersaMark Ink (make sure you dust the cardstock with your embossing buddy first). Cover the ink with Black Basic WOW Embossing Powder, then heat with a Heat Tool until the powder melts. Die-cut both images with the coordinating dies.
- Adhere the bubbles to the back of the kettle at the top and the drips to the front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the kettle to the front of the card. The cat adheres to the front with Glue Dots or Seal and then a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the cat’s tail.
- From 2024 – 2026 In Color Glimmer Paper, die-cut the four circle die from the Peach Glimmer Paper. Adhere the dots to the front of the card on or around the kettle.
- Die-cut the broom handle from Pecan Pie Cardstock and the broom bottom from Crushed Curry Cardstock. Attach the handle to the back of the bottom of the broom with Liquid Glue or Glue Dots then attach it to the front of the card.
- Take a length of ribbon, tie a knot in the middle, and attach it to the card front with a Glue Dot.
- Stamp the greeting in Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock that was die-cut out with the small Perennial Postage Die and adhere to the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape Ink on the inside of the card. Decorate with another embossed black cat with a broom.
- The back of the Envelope Flap was completed by embossing a 6” x 2-3/8” panel of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock with the Dotted Circle 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it to the flap with Liquid Glue. Trim off any excess paper.
