On Friday I shared a fun-to-make card and received a couple of requests asking if I could do a video for it. Today I’m sharing how to make the card using the Dainty Delight stamp set that is retiring this month and a sneak peak of the 2024-2026 In Colors which will be available May 1st.
I liked making this card so doing a video was an easy choice. I hadn’t used the Dainty Delight stamp set for quite some time. I had forgotten how much I liked this set. The stamp set is reduced by 15% and the dies are half-price. Also retiring is the Go To Greetings stamp set. Happy Stamping!
Card Directions
- Cut and score all cardstock and papers as listed under Cutting Directions below.
- Fold the Basic White Thick Card Base in half on the score line, and burnish it with a Bone Folder. The short side is the card front. On the right side edge make a pencil mark at 2-3/4”. On the top and bottom, measure 1” from the right side and mark with a pencil. Line up the 1” mark and the 2-3/4” mark in the paper trimmer, and cut off the corner. Repeat on the other side. See the picture below of the card base for pencil marks.
- Stamp flower image from Dainty Delight stamp set in Black Memento Ink onto the card front. Color the flowers with the Pretty In Pink Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves with the Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Write Marker.
- Cut Shy Shamrock Cardstock to 3-3/8” x 5-1/2”. You are going to mark and cut this just as you did in step #2. Adhere to the back of the card front.
- Stamp greeting in Shy Shamrock ink onto 3” x 1/2” Basic White Cardstock. Cut the right side of the greeting at an angle to match the right-hand side layer cut. Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4” (maybe a hair less) x 5-1/2”. Layer to the back of the card front behind the Shy Shamrock Cardstock.
- Embellish card with 2024-2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems.
- On the inside, stamp the top part of the floral image in Memento Black Ink then color with the Stampin’ Write Markers. If you want a sentiment, stamp in Shy Shamrock Ink.
- The front of the Envelope was completed by stamping a portion of the same image in Black Memento Ink in the bottom left-hand corner of the Envelope Front then color with the markers. For the Envelope flap, emboss a piece of Pretty In Pink Cardstock with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, glue it to the Envelope flap, and trim the excess off.
