I’m excited to bring you this Celebration card from the Round We Go stamp bundle. In these colors, it is a great card for Flag Day, 4th of July, Memorial or Labor Day, and for Military Members. This one is going to one of two of my great nephews graduating high school this year, as these are colors he loves.
Included are pictures of putting together what I call the pinwheel sphere. I posted the photos in the order of the steps in the written Directions/PDF, which you can access by clicking on the button below. The most time-consuming part is waiting for the glue to dry. The colors I used are school colors for the other nephew.
The last picture shows the stamped panel with the pinwheel sphere off to the side to show you that the stamped panel alone on the card base would make an excellent Quick & Simple Card. Happy Stamping!
Card Directions
- Cut and score all cardstock and papers as listed under Cutting Directions below.
- Fold the Night of Navy Card Base in half on the score line, and burnish it with a Bone Folder.
- Adhere the 4-1/16” x 5-5/16” Real Red Cardstock panel to the card base front.
- Stamp the largest petal stamp 3 times in Real Red Ink. Then, stamp the smaller one in Blueberry Bushel Ink. The starburst stamp is stamped in the white spaces in Daffodil Delight Ink and then adhered to the card front.
- Die-cut two of the rectangle dies from the Neutral 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper, Night of Navy piece. Fold one panel at a time in a zig-zag pattern with the tapered end pointing downwards, then adhere that end to the even-length end of the other piece. Adhere the other two ends together so they form a tube.
- Die-cut a circle die from a scrap of Cardstock, add a dab of Liquid Glue to its center, then flatten the tube to a sphere shape, squeezing it inward over the circle dot with glue. Hold until it dries, then add another circle with glue on top; this is your pinwheel sphere.
- Stamp the greeting on Basic White Cardstock in Real Red Ink, die-cut it out with a Spotlight on Nature Die, and adhere it to the pinwheel sphere.
- Embellish with Opal Rounds Assortment and the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries (available July 5th online exclusive)
- The inside is completed by stamping the circle petal stamps in Real Red and Blueberry Bushel Inks and the starbursts in Daffodil Delight, as pictured, and adhering to the inside of the card. If adding a sentiment, stamp it before adhering it to the inside of the card.
- Complete the envelope flap with a panel of Designer Series Paper adhered to the flap with Liquid Glue.
