Petal Park Birthday Quick & Simple Card -

Before it retires we are taking another look at the Petal Park Bundle for a Quick & Simple card with the Regency Park Designer Series Paper. Both items on the retirement list for the annual catalog. Update: The Regency Park DSP has sold out since I made this card. Interestingly, the Petal Park Builders Punch is not retiring. Any number of the other designer series paper would work with this same stamp set and punch.

All items that are retiring will say “retiring soon” in red on the online store. The Petal Park stamp set will be discounted on April 9th if still available. Happy Stamping!

Card Directions

Note For Best Quality Stamping: Petal Park stamps are Photopolymer, for best quality please use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat under your cardstock for a cushion and hold stamp in place for 5 seconds. Try not to rock your stamps when stamping.

Cut and score all cardstock and papers as listed under Cutting Directions below.
Fold Basic White Thick Card Base in half on the score line, burnish with Bone Folder.
Adhere Regency Park Designer Series Paper to card front.
Stamp greeting on Basic White 4” x 1-7/8” Cardstock in Night of Navy Ink then adhere to 4” x 2-1/8” Petal Pink Cardstock. Wrap ribbon around the panel and tie into a bow. Adhere to card front.
Stamp Petal Park flowers in Petal Pink Ink on Basic White Cardstock, punch out with Petal Park Builders Punch. Punch out plain flowers out of Basic White and Balmy Blue Cardstock and the leaf out of Balmy Blue Cardstock.
Assemble flowers and add to card front with Glue Dots placing the leaves under the larger flower.
Embellish with Iridescent Pastel Gems.
For the inside, stamp sentiment in Night of Navy Ink on Basic White 3-3/4” x 5” Cardstock and layer onto Petal Pink 4” x 5-1/4” Cardstock. Adhere a strip of designer series paper left side of the stamped panel then adhere to inside of card.
The envelope flap is finished by Glueing the designer series paper to the flap and then trim off excess from edges.

Basic White Thick: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” (card base)
Basic White: 4” x 1-7/8” (front panel), scraps (stamping), 3-3/4” x 5” (inside)
Petal Pink: 4” x 2-1/8” (front layered panel) 4” x 5-1/4” (inside)
Balmy Blue: Scraps (punch leaves)
Regency Park 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper: 4” x 5-1/4” (front), 5/8” x 5” (inside), 6” x 2-1/2” (envelope flap)
